A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress and ex-Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after spending several weeks on vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ganduje arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Saturday at about 4:30 pm aboard an Emirates Airlines flight, before proceeding to Abuja later in the evening.

Following his return, the former APC national chairman is expected to begin a series of consultations and stakeholders’ meetings centred on recent political developments in Kano State.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, it was disclosed that the engagements would involve wide consultations with party leaders and other critical stakeholders to review the evolving political landscape in the state.

“The consultations are aimed at reviewing current political developments and engaging widely with party leaders and stakeholders,” the statement said.

Garba added that Ganduje would also take part in the ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration (e-registration) exercise of the All Progressives Congress.

According to the statement, the e-registration initiative, which Ganduje pioneered during his tenure as APC national chairman, was designed to modernise the party’s membership database, enhance internal planning, and ensure that membership records are comprehensive, credible and easily accessible.

“The former governor remains committed to strengthening party structures and promoting inclusive dialogue in support of democratic consolidation within the APC, particularly in Kano State,” the statement added.
