KRC Genk have come to terms with the fact that they may have to part ways with the prolific Toluwalase Arokodare this summer and the Belgian Pro League club are prepared to demand a premium for the Super Eagles striker, Footynaija.com reports.
Arokodare’s stocks have grown in leaps and bounds since he first arrived in Belgium back in January 2023. His output at the Cegeka Arena has gotten better year after year and the Nigeria international is now attracting interest from all across Europe.
Recent reports indicate that two Premier League clubs, Burnley and Fulham, have enquired about the necessary requirements for a potential deal to pry last season’s Ebony Shoe award winner off the hands of his current employers.
Meanwhile, struggling Serie A giants AC Milan have also been credited with interest in Arokodare’s services. The Rosonerri are thought to be in search of a prolific scorer to lead Max Allegri’s front line next season.
And Arokodare has emerged as one of the potential options being considered by the 19-time Scudetto winners as Allegri looks to reinvigorate the club and return them to the pinnacle of Italian football.
For Genk, they will be willing to let go of their talismanic striker this summer, but only if a massive offer is put on the table by prospective suitors.
According to reports from Belgian media outlet voetbalnieuws, Genk will demand as much as €25 million, a fee that equals the club’s most expensive coop from the sale of a player, to part ways with Arokodare.
Whether to AC Milan, Fulham or Burnley, it is looking increasingly likely that Arokodare’s future lies away from the Cegeka Arena.
