GloRilla and Young Thug have quietly put an early-year controversy behind them, turning an unexpected rap beef into a surprisingly calm reconciliation.
Fans were sure the two would stay at odds after a leaked jail phone call captured Thug making rude remarks about the Memphis rapper, but the tension did not last long.
GloRilla told Complex that the two talked everything out.
“We cool, we cool,” she said, explaining that their conversation was more amusing than awkward. “I don’t take a lot of stuff too serious. If it ain’t like no death or fighting matter, I ain’t going to take it too serious.” She even left room for a possible team up in the future, adding, “We’ll see about it.”
The controversy began when leaked audio surfaced of Young Thug bashing GloRilla’s looks.
Thug also said on the call that GloRilla had a “long a– bulls–t a– wig,” a “God–n big a– head,” and a “big mouth” and that he “would not pursue her, at all, ever,” as his girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist, giggled.
After his comments spread online, Thug issued a public apology on X, writing, “First of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all… I’m sorry to u twin.” GloRilla appeared to respond with a playful jab on social media about a man repeatedly calling to ask her eye color.
