Gospel singer Tim Godfrey has responded to criticism after releasing his new song Infinity, which features Nigerian artiste Oxlade.
The collaboration drew mixed reactions from fans who questioned why a gospel minister would work with a singer previously linked to a leaked intimate video.
Many social media users accused Tim of promoting worldliness through the partnership, arguing that Oxlade’s image did not align with gospel music standards.
After days of silence, Tim Godfrey addressed the issue through an open letter titled To the Labelled.
In the letter, he spoke about being misunderstood and judged, saying that people often reject others based on their appearance or past.
He explained that he, too, had faced criticism for being different and urged believers to show love rather than condemnation.
Tim encouraged those who feel alienated by religious expectations to remember that grace is for everyone, regardless of how they look or what others think of them.
He reminded his audience that Jesus associated with outcasts and welcomed those considered unworthy by society.
The gospel artiste also announced his upcoming album titled No Label, set for release on October 31, 2025.
He described it as more than just a musical project but a movement for people who have been boxed or judged.
According to him, No Label spreads a message of freedom, love, and acceptance, challenging stereotypes about how faith should appear.
