The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno has announced the revalidation of all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State.
In a statement released on Saturday, the governor said he made the declaration on Friday during his visit to the party’s secretariat in Uyo.
According to Governor Eno, all membership across the wards in the state will begin in August and last for one month.
He said the period will avail every member of the ruling APC – both old and new – the opportunity to properly register and be digitally captured on the party platform.
Eno said, “This will strengthen our unity and help us know our actual members.
“I called on all members to work together in love and commitment, avoid unnecessary bickering, and put Akwa Ibom’s interests first. I also reaffirmed my support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms, which are stabilising the economy, funding projects, and improving lives. I called for full support for him, the Senate President, and all our APC candidates ahead of 2027,” the governor stated.
In addition, the governor during the visit to the secretariat inaugurated a 10-member committee to deliver a befitting APC Secretariat in Akwa Ibom.
He said, “Party is supreme, and under the ARISE Agenda, we will keep working together to build a peaceful, united, and prosperous Akwa Ibom for the benefit of all.”
