Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has travelled to the United States to attend the wedding ceremony of his nephew, Davido.

Naijaonpoint reports that the white wedding between Davido and Chioma Rowland is scheduled to take place in Miami, Florida, this August.

The trip comes at a time when the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is raising questions about the governor’s whereabouts.

The party claimed Adeleke left the state without any formal notice to residents or clear confirmation that power was handed over to his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi.

According to a statement released by the governor’s media aide, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke left Nigeria aboard the family’s private jet a few days ago.

The statement explained that the trip was strictly for family reasons and not an official assignment.

It also said that the governor has not taken any official vacation since he assumed office in November 2022.

While away, Adeleke is said to be in regular contact with his deputy, who is handling state affairs during the governor’s absence.

“Governor Adeleke left Nigeria for the United States via the family’s private jet a few days ago for the wedding of the global music icon, his beloved nephew, David Adeleke.

“His Excellency is extending an invitation to the opposition party to attend the event and share in the joy of the occasion with the Adeleke family.

“Those unable to attend may join virtually,” Rasheed stated.
