A former lawmaker of the National Assembly, Shehu Sani has reacted to the growing hardship ravaging Nigeria.
Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Eighth Senate also slammed governors for enjoying while the masses suffer.
A critic of bad governance, the former lawmaker cited the removal of subsidy by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Lamenting that Nigerians are bearing the consequences of the subsidy removal by the present administration, he said the president is also receiving criticism following his action.
Writing on X, Sani, however, said the governors across the country are the ones enjoying the removal of the subsidy by the president.
He wrote, “The Subsidy was removed. The People are bearing the brunt. The President is receiving the bashing. The Governors are receiving the alerts.”
Recall that Tinubu upon resumption of duty as Nigeria’s President announced the removal of subsidy.
The president made the announcement at the Eagle Square, Abuja during his swearing-in ceremony on May 29, 2023, forcing the hike in the price of fuel and other commodities across the country.
