Kemi Filani reported on Friday that the Grammy released its list of nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards. Rema and Tems had earned nominations for Best Global Album. The 2025 GRAMMY Awards, will take place Sunday, Feb. 2. The ceremony will be held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Ayra Starr, who submitted her album, “The Year I Turned 21,” for Global Music Album, got rejected by the Grammy Award organizers. Also, YBNL signee Asake, who submitted Lungu Boy for the Global Music Album, was rejected as well. Following this, many took to Twitter to troll Ayra Starr especially after she claimed she was the one carrying Afrobeat on her back. Responding to them, Ayra shared several memes as she told them to relax. In another tweet, she noted how Tweeps were seriously cooking her and dragging her. The Mavins singer, in a tweet,, revealed that she can’t stand straight again, because her waist was bent from carrying Afrobeats on her back this year. Despite the Grammy nomination loss, Ayra has made a mark since entering the music industry. The Mavins singer scored a major milestone in her career with a BET Award nomination, this year, for the Best New Artist award category. The ‘Commas’ singer had also gotten a past nomination from the Grammys; although she didn’t win, it remains a huge achievement. In June, in a sit-down interview with Spotify, Ayra revealed the connecting dots in her life that led to stardom at a young age.
