The dinner, held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, was in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

In March, when Tinubu turned 73, Tonto had said a word of prayer for the President. She prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and that his vision for Nigeria would be blessed with success.
It wasn’t surprising to see Tonto declaring her love for Tinubu as she has been a fan of the president since she decamp to APC.
Kemi Filani reported in October of 2023, Tonto was unveiled as an All Progressive Congress member by the APC women leader, which didn’t sit well with netizens as they dragged her for being a hypocrite.
Speaking out, Tonto stated that she had learned over the years that impactful leadership comes from visionary leaders offering selfless service to humanity. She made it known that she was all about the progress of her country, Nigeria, and the youths of this great nation at large.
Last year, she faced backlash when she showed her support for President Tinubu and cited statistics to back her claim that the President was doing his job well.
To further prove her loyalty to Tinubu, she had questioned his opponent at the Presidential election, Peter Obi, over his unveiling of borehole projects in some Northern states. The movie star questioned if the former governor was truly committed to taking this country to the next level, as she stated that the idea that Nigeria was almost entrusted to him, was disheartening.
