Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors of another delay have certainly been upsetting for many fans of the franchise, and it’s understandable that everyone is eager for more information on the game’s release. However, one fan has officially crossed a line when it comes to tracking down new information.
In a recent TikTok video (via Gameroll on X), one influencer went so far as to fly to Edinburgh, Scotland, to Rockstar North’s office to harass employees for answers about GTA 6‘s release date and delay rumors. The behavior has been widely condemned across social media, with users like Alex C saying, “this is disgusting and disrespectful.” Rockstar has not commented on the situation as of this writing.
GTA 6 Fan Harasses Rockstar North Employees
Employees Outside The Rockstar North Office Appeared Frightened
In a shameless (and fruitless) attempt at getting some viral content for his TikTok channel, the obsessive fan in question traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland and waited outside the Rockstar North offices to bombard employees with questions about GTA 6’s delay and release after they got off work.
Employees appear genuinely startled and even frightened in the video, and were unwilling to give the TikToker any answers or acknowledgment. While nobody was physically assaulted or harmed, the behavior crosses a line that many players agree should never be crossed.
At this time, GTA 6 being further delayed is still simply a rumor. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have officially gone on record as stating the game won’t be delayed again.
The behavior has been condemned by countless fans across social media, with X users like Synth Potato pointing out that, “This guy should be arrested for harassment.” It isn’t clear whether Rockstar North employees reported the incident to authorities, but it’s clear from the video that the delusional TikTok influencer’s questions and presence were unwelcome and inappropriate.
GTA 6 Fan’s Behavior Is Unacceptable & Pointless
This Sort Of Harassment Should Never Be Encouraged
It’s understandable that GTA 6 fans are curious about the game’s release date, and it can certainly be frustrating to read countless delay rumors that are often unfounded. But there’s a huge line that’s being crossed by physically showing up outside Rockstar’s office to demand answers about the game.
Not only is this a scary and uncomfortable situation for the employees themselves, it’s a completely pointless pursuit. Rockstar employees are almost guaranteed to be under an NDA and would be unable to reveal any information even in normal circumstances. The TikTok influencer either knew this and didn’t care, or was too oblivious to understand exactly what he was doing.
Ultimately, this is just an all-around uncomfortable and unfortunate situation that Rockstar employees shouldn’t have to worry about or deal with. These are boots-on-the-ground developers that are just trying to do their jobs, and the last thing they need is an obsessive fan badgering them outside their offices for viral TikTok bits.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is easily one of the most anticipated releases in modern gaming, and the entire world is waiting for any information they can get. But they want to get that through official announcements and updates, not a random fan harassing workers. Simply put, it’s pointless and inappropriate to seek out information on the game by harassing its developers.
