The shareholders of Guaranty Trust Holding Company will on April 24 receive a final dividend of N7.03k, subject to approval.
In a corporate filing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Wednesday, the financial holding company said that shareholders with valid holdings as of April 15, 2025, will be eligible for the dividend payout.
“A final dividend in the sum of N7.03 per ordinary share of 50 kobo, subject to appropriate withholding tax deduction and approval, will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Shareholders as at the close of business on April 15, 2025,” the notice partly read.
This brings the total dividend paid for the 2024 financial year to N8.03 (2023: N3.20K per share). During the period under review, the directors proposed the payment of an interim dividend in the sum of N1.00K per ordinary shares on the issued capital of 29,431,179,224 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each payable to shareholders on the register of shareholding at the closure date. “On April 24, 2025, the dividend will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Shareholders as of April 15, 2025, who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts,” read the corporate disclosure.
April 24 is the same date for its Annual General Meeting, where the shareholders are expected to approve the proposed dividend. Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc has reported a profit before tax of N1.27trn for the 2024 financial year, representing a 107.8 per cent increase from N609.31bn posted in 2023.
The group, in its audited financial statement released on the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Friday, also disclosed a profit after tax of N1.02trn, up 88.6 per cent from N539.66bn in 2023.
“Our strong financial performance underscores the resilience of our business model and our ability to create sustainable value for shareholders,” the company stated in a filing to the NGX.
