A White House event presided over by U.S. President, Donald Trump, on Thursday was briefly disrupted after a guest suddenly fainted inside the Oval Office, causing a moment of concern among attendees.

Naijaonpoint reports that the incident occurred during an announcement focused on reducing the cost of obesity medications.

The guest, identified by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as a representative of one of the participating healthcare companies, collapsed while Eli Lilly CEO, David Ricks, was speaking.

The individual, who was standing behind the President’s desk alongside administration officials and pharmaceutical executives, appeared to lose consciousness before being helped to the ground.

“You OK?” Ricks asked as CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz and other officials moved quickly to render assistance.

Trump rose from behind the Resolute Desk as aides ushered reporters out of the room to allow medical staff to attend to the guest.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later confirmed that the affected guest received prompt medical attention and was stable.

When journalists were allowed back into the Oval Office, President Trump reassured them that the episode was minor.

Trump told reporters, “You saw he went down. And he’s fine. They just sent him out. He’s got doctors’ care. But he’s fine.”

The Oval Office episode occurred about 30 minutes into the briefing and led to a temporary pause before the proceedings continued.

Thursday’s scare was the second fainting incident at the White House this year. In April, a young girl reportedly fainted during Mehmet Oz’s swearing-in ceremony, though officials said she recovered quickly.
