The ongoing legal situation between The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey and rapper DDG continues, as a restraining order originally set to expire this month has now been extended until November 5, 2025.

Court documents reveal that both Bailey and DDG’s legal teams requested to postpone their scheduled hearing while they finalize an agreement. The judge approved the extension, noting that all existing temporary protections will stay in place until the new court date. Bailey first sought the restraining order in June, alleging that her ex-partner, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., had been violent and controlling during their relationship.

“Throughout our relationship, Darryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me,” Bailey claimed in her filing. “I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”

In the court documents, Bailey described several incidents, including one where she said DDG pulled her hair and slammed her face into a steering wheel, chipping her tooth. She submitted photos showing bruising and injuries, which have since circulated in the media.

Bailey, 24, and DDG, 27, were together from 2022 until early 2024. They share a son, Halo, who turned one earlier this year. Their breakup has played out publicly, with both addressing each other indirectly on social media.

Recently, DDG claimed that Bailey has restricted his access to their child.

The restraining order will remain active until early November, when both parties are expected to return to court.
