Gamers now have the chance to play some of the best entries in the legendary Halo series for 75% off as part of Steam’s ongoing Autum Sale. Normally, Steam holds its special Autumn Sale in November, but Valve decided to hold its annual discount event a few months early in 2025.
One of the big discounts being offered as part of the Steam Autumn Sale is Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is currently on sale for $9.99. This is a massive 75% off of its usual Steam price of $39.99, with each individual game in the collection also available at a discount if users want to purchase a specific entry.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection Is Now 75% Off
Six Great FPS Adventures For An Incredible Deal
Halo: The Master Chief Collection was first released on Xbox One in 2014 before being ported to Windows via Steam in 2019. It is a remastered compilation of the first six mainline Halo games, featuring Bungie’s original Halo trilogy that redefined the first-person shooter genre on consoles, 343 Studios’ Halo 4, and the spin-offs Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach.
This means that players who take advantage of Steam’s current discount will be able to catch up on the story of Master Chief leading up to later entries like Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: Infinite, as well as experience memorable side stories like the fall of Reach and the journeys of the UNSC’s Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.
Halo’s Best Entries At A Discount
The Original Games Are Still Highly Regarded
While later entries in the series have gained a mixed response from fans, many of the games in Halo: The Master Chief Collection are still regarded as the best in the Halo franchise. Bungie’s games in particular hold a special place in gaming history for helping Microsoft’s Xbox brand become one of the big three platforms.
The future of the Halo franchise is a bit uncertain at the moment, with new projects said to be in development at Halo Studios. One of these is supposedly a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, but there are rumors that it might not have the iconic multiplayer that helped make the series a household name.
In the meantime, gamers can strap on the Master Chief’s legendary helmet and play through some of his greatest missions either for the first time or all over again thanks to Steam’s Halo: The Master Chief Collection discount. This great deal will only last until October 6, so fans will have to act fast if they want to save.
