Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze was spotted on video giving Calvin Bassey a piece of his mind on the team bus on Monday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze has enjoyed a great start to life at Fulham, registering two goals and four assists in nine appearances.
However, the former Villarreal man believes he should have added one more to his tally, and he blames his Super Eagles teammate, Calvin Bassey, for the missed opportunity.
In their final game for Fulham before joining the Nigeria camp for the Africa Cup of Nations, Bassey missed a clear-cut chance.
The defender went on a marauding run from the backline and dribbled his way into the box, but with the goal at his mercy, he miskicked his shot and blasted it wide.

Chukwueze was in the immediate vicinity, but Bassey opted not to pass the ball despite the winger being in a much better position to score.
Since then, Chukwueze has been on Bassey’s case in what is clearly pure banter, and they have brought that playful energy to the national team.
On Monday, after their training session, Chukwueze went on a light-hearted tirade on the team bus, calling Bassey out once again for his “selfish” play.

That moment definitely lightened the mood in the team, as new boys Ryan Alebiosu and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro were seen laughing their heads off.

Samuel Chukwueze is known to be a jovial person. And he has formed a stronger relationship with Alex Iwobi and Bassey since moving to Fulham in the summer.
The Super Eagles kicked off their AFCON 2025 journey with a game against Tanzania on Tuesday, and they ran out with a 2-1 win.
