“He knew how to sing more than Wizkid” – Portable reacts to the untimely demise of Destiny Boy, drags Small Doctor (Video)

He knew how to sing better than Wizkid Portable reacts to death of Destiny Boy Kemi Filani blog

Controversial singer Portable has reacted to the death of fast-rising singer Destiny Boy.

Kemi Filani reported that the singer, whose real name was Afeez Adeshina, died suddenly on January 18, 2026, and soon after.

In a video captured online, Portable, who was recently released from prison, blamed bloggers for having a hand in his death. He said this is the reason his mother was disturbing him for money before his death.

Taking a swipe at Wizkid, the controversial singer said Destiny was a better singer but didn’t have any helpers. Praying against untimely death, he dragged Small Doctor for faking tears as he questioned what he did for the singer when he was alive.

“Destiny Boy, we miss you. He knew how to sing better than Wizkid, but he didn’t have any helpers. God, please don’t let me d!e young. Make sure you don’t d!e because there is fake love everywhere. I saw a small doctor crying. Did you help or love him when he was alive? I remember Pasuma brought you and him together on the stage. When you made it, did you help him?

If he d!ed at his babalawo’s place, it was because of his sickness. He had been facing a lot on his own. I don’t know why he left his helper, 2T boys. They really helped him when he was with them. Everything changed for him when he left them”.

A week ago, gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu, better known as Omije Ojumi, passed away. According to reports, the singer took ill around 2025, and all efforts to get her back on her feet were futile.

In different news, Portable had charged content creator, Carter Efe, N10 million to be on his Live stream. Portable claimed that God told him not to give people his glory for free anymore, and noted how he is a star and doesn’t beg anyone to shine.

The Zazuu singer had called out Iyabo Ojo’s son-in-law, Juma Jux, over his song with a Nigerian artist. He vented about how no one told him that Juma was in Nigeria and had done a song with his brother, Ekunrawo. Making a demand, he told the singer to feature him in his song, Halima.

The singer had called out Big Brother Naija reality show organisers for not inviting him to the show. He said the organisers should have invited him to make the house sweet, as he is a good fashion designer and stylist, a street king, and a star.

Portable bragged about the success of his music on all streaming platforms. He noted that his haters are always looking for his trouble. Throwing shots at an unidentified person, he stated that a successful person doesn’t beg people to download songs, as his songs would do the talking.
