Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has called out her colleague Lateef Adedimeji for snubbing her.

The Yoruba actress, in a video posted on her Instagram page, claimed she once reached out to him to feature in her movie, and he told her he only works with fortunate people. Habibat said she was, and so she withdrew their friendship.

She said that a few months later, someone reached out to her to help get Lateef’s contact for a role, and she discovered that he had blocked her on all social media platforms, including WhatsApp and Instagram.

Some years ago, I called Lateef to ask him to play a role in a movie I was producing. He told me he only featured in movies with fortunate people, and I was shocked, so I immediately withdrew from our friendship.
A few months later, someone reached out to me to help get Lateef for a role. When I tried to contact him, I discovered he had blocked me on all social media platforms, including WhatsApp and IG”.

In May of last year, Wumi Toriola had publicly apologised to her friend, Habibat, after five years of being apart without a specific reason.

She shared a beautiful photo of Habibat while pondering why they stopped interacting. She revealed that she followed Jinad on Instagram a few days ago, and she could not stop herself from seeing her colleague’s new baby, Okikiola.

Reacting, Habibat expressed happiness over the reconciliation, she stated that she prayed to God that she wanted to celebrate her 40th birthday in peace with everyone, and God has answered her prayers. Habibat noted how they aren’t getting younger, and they all need love, peace and unity within them.

Also, last year, Habibat recounted how Mide Martins once insulted her with her skin colour on a movie set. She revealed that Mide’s words touched her so much that she contemplated bleaching her skin.

She had also called out her colleague, Yetunde Bakare for badmouthing her to others and had pleaded with her to allow her to live for the sake of her son. The call-out led to a social media spat as Yetunde debunked her claims, shedding light on their fallout.
