Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has shed light on her leaked tape with her former partner.
The movie star, who had been away from social media for months, finally made her return with an emotional video explaining the situation.
She claimed that her ex blamed her for the tape, telling her it was her fault because she hadn’t posted him on her social media. Moyo questioned whether she had ever posted anyone on her social media before.
The light-skinned actress noted that she had always been able to overlook things because of her fun characters, but she is flipping the switch.
Moyo, however, made it known that she is flipping the switch and looking forward to an entirely new character and adventure.
“To me, entertainers should be seen and not heard, and as a thespian, no matter what is happening in your reality, the show must always go on.
There is a narrative that I posted this intimate part of my life. I refuse to allow this narrative to stick with me forever, and most importantly, I have had a few girls reach out to me who were in similar situations, and they keep telling me that they will off themselves. Some of them are being threatened, and I need them to understand that this shame is not theirs to carry, nor is it their fault. You never really know somebody until you threaten to leave them.
In my own case, he told me it was my fault, that this happened because I refused to post about him on my social media. Have I ever posted anyone on my socials? He said that if he couldn’t have me, then nobody else would ever want me again.
I have always had this ability to overlook things because I have always had such fun characters. I am flipping the switch. I have decided to live a virtuous life.

Kemi Filani reported last year that Moyo was mercilessly dragged online after her tape leaked with many slamming her for being gullible to allow a man to record a tape of her, despite the series of leaked tapes among celebrities.
Issuing a public statement, Moyo revealed that the partner in the video was her ex-fiance, and threatened legal action, stating that the video was released without her permission, thereby violating her privacy and trust.
Shedding more light on it, Moyo revealed that she only had s3x twice in 2022 one of which birth the leaked tape. She admitted that she agreed to film the tape with him because he doesn’t reside in Nigeria and besides, they were already planning to get married.
Some of her colleagues like Mary Njoku, Uche Maduagwu, Prince Eke, and others reacted to the tape. While Mary Njoku slammed Nigerians for always blaming the victims, Uche Maduagwu called for AGN to suspend Moyo Lawal and Prince Eke questioned if any brand would approach her.
