Ademola Lookman has been linked with Inter Milan over the past two weeks, but they are yet to strike a deal

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has confirmed that Inter Milan have submitted a bid for Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, but they are yet to strike a deal, Soccernet.ng reports.

Since the turn of the year, it has been clear that Lookman will leave La Dea this summer, especially after his fallout with then-coach Gian Pero Gasperini.

This summer, the 27-year-old winger has been linked with multiple clubs this summer like Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona. But none of them submitted a bid.

However, news broke two weeks ago that Inter Milan were seriously interested in acquiring his services.

Inter Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio even came out to confirm that they were in talks with Atalanta for his services.

Now, in a new development, Atalanta’s CEO Percassi has confirmed that they are actively in talks with Inter Milan. But they are dealing with the matter at their own pace despite the fact the Lookman has already told the club that he wants to leave.

“Lookman wants to leave since long time ago. We have a proposal from Inter but it’s us deciding timing and valuation for our own players,” Percassi said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“We have good relationship and we will consider the proposal with our timing.”

Inter Milan have already tabled a bid of €45 million for Lookman, but La Dea want at €50 million at least, since the Nerazzurri are their Serie A rivals.

Over the last three seasons at Atalanta, Lookman has contributed 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances. He led the club to their first-ever European trophy two seasons ago with a record-breaking performance in the final.

The Super Eagles winger will be a steal for any club that acquires his services.
