Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has urged Nigerians, especially politicians, to focus on the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and refrain from spreading rumours about the president’s health.

Naijaonpoint reports that the former governor of Abia State stated this in a video shared on his Facebook page, addressing Tinubu’s rumoured ill health.

The president’s conspicuous absence from key public events has triggered speculation that he was sick and in a critical condition.

The presidency, however, had dismissed the claim, stating that Tinubu is in good health and working from home.

Confirming that the president is currently in good health, Senator Kalu said Tinubu is set to travel to Japan for an official state visit.

Kalu added that even if Tinubu is sick, he will recover and continue his travels.

He said, “Nigerian people and politicians should stop this rumour and focus on what we are doing. We have done so many things and we will continue to be on track.

“Even if he is not in good health, somebody can be sick and he will get better to do his travels.

“The president is going to Japan for a state visit and he will stop over in Brazil and come back to Nigeria to go to the United Nations in September so the president is in good shape, let’s stop all this nonsense.”
