Super Falcons attacker Rinsola Babajide has expressed her disappointment at Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

After settling for a 1-1 draw against Sunderland in midweek, Liverpool returned to Premier League action against newly promoted Leeds United at Elland Road.

The fixture has always been one filled with goals, and it seemed like this latest installment would follow suit, given Liverpool’s defensive struggles this season.

However, despite an entertaining first half, both teams went into the dugout all square, as neither of them rattled the net.

It was in the second half that the game caught fire. Liverpool scored twice through Hugo Ekitike within the first five minutes after the break.

It looked like the reigning Premier League champions were sailing to a much-needed victory, but after a triple substitution by Leeds United, they started pressing for goals.

The home side eventually reduced the deficit, courtesy of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who converted from the spot in the 73rd minute.

Then, two minutes later, Anton Stach equalized, after a sweet combination play with Brenden Aaronson.

Nonetheless, the Reds picked themselves up and started playing well again. They scored again in the 80th minute, thanks to a strike from Dominik Szoboszlai.

But Ao Tanaka produced a beautiful effort in the sixth minute of stoppages to ensure that the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Following the draw, Rinsola, who was commenting on social media, reacted with a heartbroken emoji on X.

Rinsola currently plays for Roma, but she played for Liverpool between 2018 and 2021. The club is very close to her heart.

The Super Falcons star always follows Liverpool and celebrates when they win games. She will be hoping that they return to winning ways when they face Inter Milan in the Champions League next week.
