It is a sad moment for Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, as she loses her bid for the AGN presidential election.
Kemi Filani reported that Rita was a prominent candidate in the race for the presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), running against the current National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu.
The election took place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to elect a successor to be the outgoing president, Emeka Rollas.
According to reports online, Rita unfortunately lost the election to her opponent, Abubakar Yakubu.
