THE Board of Trustees of the Nsibidi Foundation has announced the appointment of Nze Ed Emeka Keazor as Director of the Nsibidi Institute, the Foundation’s heritage and cultural research arm.
The appointment, according to a release from the organisation, officially takes effect on the second of June 2025.
An award-winning historian, filmmaker, and archivist, Keazor brings over 30 years of experience in historical research, filmmaking, and curation.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. In 2015, he received an award from the African Society of Cambridge University for his contributions to African history.
Keazor expressed his gratitude to the Board for entrusting him with the leadership of the Institute, which has been dormant for five years.
He revealed that a robust annual programme of events, research, and digital tools would soon be unveiled to the public.
