WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has finally introduced its first line of smartphones under the original HMD line: HMD Pulse Pro, HMD Pulse+, and HMD Pulse after teasers and leaks. The HMD Pulse collection brings forth HMD’s original line with clean lines, calm tones, modern aesthetics, elegant repairability, and bold design, all at an accessible price. According to HMD, each phone in the HMD Pulse range is designed for easy repair, called ‘Gen 1 repairability’. You can replace damaged parts without professional help, thanks to self-repair kits available in partnership with iFixit. The Pulse Pro variant features smooth designs, contemporary looks, along with a 6.65″ HD+ 90Hz display, with brightness up to 600 nits. It runs on Unisoc T606 with 6GB RAM (expandable to 8GB via Virtual RAM), and 128GB storage, extendable up to 256GB via MicroSD card. For photography, it boasts a 50MP main camera with skin-tone optimization + 2MP depth sensor and LED flash on the back, and a 50MP selfie camera supporting selfie gestures and slow-motion selfies. It houses a 5000mAh QuickFix replaceable battery with 20W fast charging, delivering up to 59 hours on a single charge, and promises 800 full charging cycles as per HMD. Both models sport the same 6.65″ HD+ 90Hz display, 600 nits brightness, and weigh 187g. Similar to the Pro version, both the Pulse+ and Pulse run on Unisoc T606. Storage-wise, Pulse offers 64GB internal storage while Pulse+ provides 128GB. Both support external storage up to 256GB via MicroSD card, along with 4GB RAM (supports Virtual RAM). Optics-wise, Pulse features a 13MP main camera + 2MP depth sensor and LED flash, with an 8MP front camera. Pulse+ upgrades to a 50MP main camera + 2MP depth sensor, LED flash, and a 50MP front camera. Both devices support skin tone optimization. Both devices feature a 5000mAh QuickFix replaceable battery like Pulse Pro but with 10W charging. All devices feature OZO Audio, a side fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button, and connectivity options such as 4G, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, 3.5mm jack, USB Type-C (USB 2.0), and GPS/Galileo. They run on Android 14 with 2 OS upgrades and receive quarterly security updates for three years. Additionally, they are IP52-rated for dust and water resistance. The Pulse collection is made with recycled materials and features a ‘Repair it Yourself’ (RIY) design.
