HONOR 200 series launch date, design & colors revealed

HONOR is planning to launch new smartphones later this month. The HONOR 200 series is coming, and the company has just revealed the launch date, designs, and colors that we can expect.

The devices in question are the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro. These two phones will launch following the HONOR 200 Lite launch, which arrived separately, for some reason. The two devices will become official on May 27.

Do note that this seems to be a China launch, but a global launch should follow soon. Everything points in that direction, as these two phones will become available to global users too. They’ll become direct successors to the HONOR 90 series from last year.

Now, the company has confirmed the designs of both smartphones. HONOR actually released renders of both devices in all color variants. You’ll find three separate galleries below the article. The first one is for the HONOR 200 and the second one is for the HONOR 200 Pro. Those two galleries show us official renders of the two phones. The third gallery has some additional shots of the HONOR 200 Pro.

The two phones do look similar, but there are several design differences

You’ll notice that the two phones do look very similar. The main differences are a slightly larger camera island on the HONOR 200 Pro, and the pill-shaped cutout on the display on that device. The HONOR 200 has a display camera hole instead.

Both smartphones have very thin bezels, which at least seem to be uniform. They both also include a curved display, which is proportionally curved to the backplate. That goes for both smartphones.

The HONOR 200 Pro will launch in black, green, pink, and white colors, as you can see below. The HONOR 200 will arrive in black, blue, pink, and white colors. The design of the backplate one some models will be different than others.

The two phones are tipped to offer 100W charging, while at least one of them will include a 5,200mAh battery. We still don’t have the spec details, though, we’ll have to wait and see.
