Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa is counting down to her first birthday as a mother.
Kemi Filani reported that in August the former OAP had welcomed her first child, a baby girl, named Yakira Eliana at 40.
In a note to God, she questioned how this had become her reality and how God heard every single prayer. She questioned how God loved her so much, as she revealed that anytime she looked at her daughter, she was reminded of His love daily.
She said that the greatest calling, the highest service, every single season of her life has led her to this very special moment, and she is grateful.
“It’s my Birth month….
My first birthday as a Mother, November 3rd.
My baby’s 3rd month on this side of eternity,
Dear God, how did this become my reality? How did you hear every single prayer, down to her nails, hair, everything I asked, and you delicately crafted her beyond my imagination?
How do you love me this much?????
I look at my daughter and I am reminded of your love daily,

Celebrating her daughter as she returned one-month-old, Toke described the past month as unbelievable, appreciating her mini-me for choosing her, and promising to do her best.
In a note to her newborn, Toke noted how her daughter had changed her status and healed the broken heart she had carried since she was 8. Toke said she was already drowning in her big ol’ eyes and learning so much of her.
On her podcast, the former OAP broke down in tears as she reflected on her trials, revealing that she prayed to God that she wanted to turn 40 being a mum. She said that God answered her prayers as she got pregnant the next month after her 40th birthday.
