Gospel singer, Chidinma Ekile, has opened up about a spiritual journey she took after returning from the United States.
Naijaonpoint reports that the singer revealed that she went through a long period of prayer and fasting on a mountain.
According to her, she spent 40 days in the wilderness, seeking direction from God, and encountered both divine presence and a disturbing moment that tested her faith.
She explained that the period was marked by emotional pain, intense prayers, and a deep personal struggle.
During her stay on the mountain, she said she slept outside and focused entirely on crying out to God through songs and prayers.
Chidinma described the experience as deeply personal, saying she felt God’s presence in a way she had never known before.
During the fast, she also shared that she reached a breaking point where she felt the enemy tried to cut her life short.
She said she found herself standing at the edge of a cliff at night, where she heard a strong voice urging her to jump.
At that moment, she was prepared to obey, but something invisible stopped her.
She felt blocked by an unseen force, and that moment passed.
“It was more like I was in a theatre. God performed surgery on me and He shredded me. I’ve seen it all, and material things don’t move me anymore. God is looking for those that are not perfect.
“The enemy came to me to take me out of there before my time. The devil took me to the top of the mountain, to the cliff at night where everywhere was dark. And right there at the cliff, the devil asked me to jump. The voice was so strong.
“I was about to take the jump, and I noticed I was being barricaded and I couldn’t jump. Something was just there”, she said.
