HUAWEI has introduced the Pura 70 Series smartphones in China, rebranding their ‘P’ series lineup. The series includes Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra smartphones.
Design and Display
The Pura 70 Series by HUAWEI introduces a fresh look, featuring a distinct triangular camera module on the back. While the standard version has a flat design, the Pro models boast slightly curved edges.
All models sport high refresh rate displays, with the standard version having a 6.6-inch screen, and the others equipped with larger 6.8-inch quad-curved OLED displays.
They all incorporate LTPO technology, offering a dynamic refresh rate between 1-120Hz, along with 1440Hz PWM dimming and a 300Hz sampling rate for enhanced responsiveness. The displays are protected by second-generation Kunlun glass.
Camera
Under the XMAGE branding, the Pura 70 series presents various camera setups. The base model showcases a triple rear camera system including a 50MP primary sensor, 13MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a 12MP periscope telephoto unit.
The Pro and Pro+ models share a 50MP main camera, a 12.5MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a third 48MP macro telephoto camera. All models support variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, with OIS stabilization for both main and telephoto sensors.
The top-tier Pura 70 Ultra boasts a 1-inch camera with a retractable lens, offering a variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0, alongside a sensor shift anti-shake feature.
This phone offers a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP macro telephoto lens with up to 100x digital zoom.
Processors and Battery
Powered by the Kirin 9010 chip with the Maleoon 910 GPU, the Pura 70 series ensures efficient performance.
The standard Pura 70 comes with a 4900mAh battery supporting 66W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W wired/7.5W wireless reverse charging.
The Pro and Pro+ models share a 5050mAh battery, while the Ultra variant boasts a 5200mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging, and support for 18W wired/20W wireless reverse charging.
Other Features
All models boast an IP68 rating, in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual SIM capability, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1).
Huawei emphasizes satellite connectivity across the Pura 70 series, along with the integration of its Pangu LLM for AI features. The devices run on Harmony OS 4.2.
