In Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #3 by Gerry Dugan, Paco Medin and Javier Garrón, the kaiju escapes the Astral Plane and ends up in Madripoor, where he begins terrorizing the city. The X-Men (and Magneto for that matter) respond to the chaos, but even their combined might isn’t enough to stop or even slow down Godzilla’s reign of terror.
Thankfully, Black Panther has been working on a plan. He has Bruce Banner brought to Wakanda, and has Shuri give him Pym Particles. But the plan isn’t just to sic a giant Hulk on Godzilla. They’re going to exploit Godzilla’s weakness to vibranium, and a giant vibranium ax and sledgehammer are brought in for the Hulk to use.

Will This Be Enough to Stop the King of the Monsters?
When Godzilla arrived in the Marvel Universe, the heroes thought this would be just another day in their odd world. But the Titan was far more powerful than anyone expected, and he quickly began taking apart heroes and villains alike. The only thing that has seemingly affected Godzilla is vibranium, which the smartest heroes immediately took note of.
Now Hulk hasn’t yet gone up against Godzilla (in this story, at least), but Black Panther is confident in Bruce’s better half. He’s supplied Banner with what he needs to become Godzilla’s strength and had weapons designed to specifically exploit Godzilla’s aversion to vibranium. This is an incredibly strong upgrade, but is it worth the possible danger?

Effective, But Marvel’s Heroes Need to Prepare for Worst-Case Scenario
In theory, this isn’t a bad plan as a giant Hulk could almost certainly take down Godzilla. However, the heroes are running the risk that Hulk’s not going to go rogue while in giant form. The world is suffering enough because of Godzilla. But an upgraded Hulk could make this bad situation incredibly worse.
