Nigerian singer Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilarelisten, popularly known as Qdot, is still dealing with the trauma from his 2025 robbery.
Kemi Filani reported in September last year that the singer was robbed at gunpoint in his home around 2:30am. He said the assailants made away with his phones, laptops, and emptied his bank accounts. The robbers also seized control of his social media accounts.
Five months after the incident, the singer, via his Twitter page, revealed that the trauma of the incident is still with me. He said he wakes up every night at 2:30 am in fear and can’t sleep peacefully.
Qdot prayed for healing and peace, and called for stronger government action so that his suffering could end.

Even though September 28 has passed, the trauma is still with me. I wake up every night at 2:30 a.m. in fear and can no longer sleep peacefully. I pray for healing and peace, and for stronger government action so this suffering can finally end @followlasg @CruLagospolice @LagosPoliceNG”.
Qdot isn’t the only celebrity who has encountered robbers.
Popular actor, Hafeez Oyetoro, aka Saka, had, in an interview, said he was still traumatised by the robbery attack on his apartment in Isheri, a community straddling Lagos and Ogun states. He said that the robbers came around 2:50am, and they brought their own equipment to cut through the burglar-proof in the house, and carried sophisticated guns.
In 2023, Yoruba, actor Jide Awobona recounted his wife’s scary experience at the hands of robbers, who threatened her at gunpoint.
Also, Yvonne Jegede recounted how she was almost robbed at about 9 pm while stuck in traffic on the bridge. The movie star called for the bridge to be sanitized and warned her fans to be careful of how they drive at night, especially when alone.
The late, Junior Pope Odonwodo was robbed at gunpoint in Delta State. The actor took to his Instagram page to narrate the ordeal, which had left him and some of his colleagues devastated.
Music executive Soso Soberekon had cried out to the Lagos state government after being attacked by traffic robbers in Lagos. The seasoned talent manager, who, in a video clip, showed how his car was damaged, pleaded with the state governor to take action as soon as possible, as traffic robberies in Lagos were becoming too frequent.
Actress Ruby Ojiakor, fortunately, survived a robbery attack. The Asaba movie star recounted how robbers stormed a plaza where she always kept her cars and carted away with valuables, leaving many cars severely damaged. Luckily for her, her car was the only one untouched, and this was because she serves a Living God.
Following the constant news of robberies, Ronke Oshodi Oke had alerted her fans and followers to a new method of robbery on the highway. Sharing a video explaining the tactics robbers used, she cautioned her fans to be cautious of any suspicious activities on the highway.
