Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has penned a gratifying note to the public following his birthday celebration.

Kemi Filani reported that the veteran had clocked 71 two days back and to mark his new age, he shared photos of himself accompanied by a thankful note.

His children, Shola, Bidemi Kosoko, and Temi Kosoko, all took to their respective social media accounts to celebrate their father. His colleagues also didn’t fail to celebrate him as they penned tributes to the veteran.

Now, taking to his Instagram page to appreciate them, Jide stated that he doesn’t take their love for granted as he prayed for them to be celebrated as well.

“My people, my people, I thank everyone deeply for the love you showed me yesterday, I do not take it for granted at all. As you have celebrated me this much, may you all always be celebrated. Thank you so much once again”.

Just a week back, Jide Kosoko had sweetly celebrated his daughter, Shola Kosoko as she turned 45. Praising her for her exceptional qualities, he stated that she is a true example of slow and steady wins in the race, as he called her his golden daughter.

Jide no doubt has many reasons to be grateful as last year, was a winning year for the veteran. In December, Kosoko, alongside Adebayo Salami, bagged Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Theatre and Media Arts from Achievers Networks Academy, UK. The veterans were lauded for their enduring legacy, having shaped the Nollywood industry into the powerhouse it is today through their unforgettable roles, mentoring of younger talents, and commitment to promoting African culture.

In other news, the veteran had left his fans talking after he shared a jaw-dropping selfie photo of his daughter. The light-skinned veteran questioned why his fans and followers were admiring her and if they had N500 billion to give him just for introduction and consultation.

The veteran was officially conferred as the head of his royal family at Oteniya branch. Following the appointment, he was presented to the Oloriebi in Council and wass also re-confirmed as the official Ambassador of the Family. The veteran prayed for wisdom to contribute his quota to the unity and progress of the Family.

To add to it, Jide had issued a statement against drug abuse. He shared a photo of him dressed in an NDLEA outfit as he jokingly declared himself the New Chairman of NDLEA as he read the riot act to the public. He revealed that he would be banning the use of Alabukun, phensic, paracetamol, painstaking drugs, soft drinks, energy drinks, and many more, as he stated that he only recommends and approves the use of water.

The veteran had also reunited with legendary actor, Pete Edochie. Sharing a video of the adorable moment, via his Instagram page, he stated that he reunited with Pete after 12 years.
