A man identified as Magaji Adebanjo, an employee of Vine Crest College, has been abducted by gunmen along the notorious Kabba Road axis in Kogi State.
His abductors are demanding a huge ransom of ₦100 million for his safe release.
Adebanjo, who is a native of Imo Arikoko in the Akoko area of Ondo State, was reportedly seized by the heavily armed gang while he was travelling from Iperu to Abuja.
A disturbing video obtained by Sahara Reporters showed Adebanjo in distress, tied up, and with a gun pointed directly at his head as he made a passionate plea for immediate help. He appeared exhausted and visibly terrified.
Beside him in the video was another man, presumably kidnapped during the same operation, who could be seen with a noticeable knee injury and struggling to stand.
Speaking through tears and distress, Adebanjo identified himself and recounted the frightening moment of his capture.
“My name is Mogaiji Adebanjo. I’m from Imo Arikoko in Ondo State. I work with Vine Crest College. When I was coming from Iperu, going to Abuja, I was kidnapped along the Kabba road,” he stated.
He confirmed the hefty sum being demanded by the bandits: “They are demanding N100 million.”
Adebanjo made a desperate appeal to Nigerians to intervene and help secure his freedom, highlighting the plight of his family.
“Please, help me. I don’t want to die. I have a pregnant wife and a four-year-old son. Please, help me. They want N100 million. I was taken yesterday. Please, help me,” he cried out, explaining that he has an aged father, a pregnant wife, and a young son who depend solely on him.
