WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Tolu Arokodare is having the season of his life in Belgium — but while Genk’s star striker admits a Premier League move is firmly in his dreams, he insists his only current focus is leading his club to the league title, Footynaija.com reports. The 24-year-old Nigerian forward has hit red-hot form in the 2024/25 campaign, scoring 22 goals and providing seven assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. In the league alone, he has found the net 20 times — more than any other player in the Belgian First Division A this season. With such explosive numbers, it’s no surprise that scouts from the Premier League are circling, with Fulham and Newcastle reportedly among those monitoring the Genk talisman. | Genk’s 24-year-old Nigerian striker, Tolu Arokodare is receiving transfer interest from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart. But Arokodare is refusing to get distracted as Genk head into the crucial final stretch of the season. “My main goal is to win the title,” Arokodare said as per Foot Africa. “Scoring 20 goals is fantastic, but the aim is to win the major trophy with this club. Winning the championship would mean everything. This season, I’ve formed a strong bond with the fans, and it would truly make me happy if we could reward them with the title.” Despite all the noise around his future, Arokodare remains grounded: “I try to keep a cool head. The future remains uncertain, but, like many, I dream of the Premier League. For now, I am dedicated to Genk and our shared goal.” Next up for Arokodare and Genk is a trip to Union Saint-Gilloise on May 3. Win that, and the dream — both for club glory and future Premier League ambitions — edges one step closer.
The numbers back up his importance. Arokodare has played in all 36 of Genk’s league games this season, starting 34 and logging 2,825 minutes. His most recent appearance came in a 1-0 defeat to Antwerp on April 27, while his latest goal was also against Antwerp, in a 1-1 draw four days earlier.
