SAMUEL Chukwueze has completed a loan switch to Fulham from AC Milan, the English Premier League club announced tonight.
With the deadline day move, Chukwueze joins his Super Eagles colleagues Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at the London club.
“The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan,” Fulham stated.
“He joins on loan for the duration of the 2025/2026 season, with an option to make the move permanent.
“A Nigeria international alongside Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, Chukwueze will wear the number 19 shirt.”
Speaking to FFCtv after signing, the 26-year-old Chukwueze said: “I’m so happy to be here. It’s an amazing club. It feels like home, because I have my people around me.
“I feel at home already, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Fulham Chairman Tony Khan said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Samuel Chukwueze to Fulham! He is an explosive athlete and tremendous talent, who has gained valuable playing experience in Europe with Milan and in international competition for Nigeria.
“He is joining us on a season-long loan with a permanent option, and we are very excited to have him at the Club! Come on Fulham!”
The club described Chukwueze as ‘a powerful, rapid player who excels in one-v-one situations’ and ‘a left-footed winger who primarily operates on the right, but has experience playing on either flank’.
After coming through the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria, Chukwueze made the move to Europe in 2017 wity Villarreal after winning the FIFA U-17 World Cup with the Golden Eaglets two years earlier.
Chukwueze made his senior debut for Villarreal in a 3-3 draw with Spartak Moscow in the Europa League in October 2018, scoring his first senior goal the following month in a Copa del Rey tie.
Chukwueze became a regular from that point, and was a key component in the successes that followed for Villarreal, namely winning the Europa League in 2021, and reaching the Champions League semi-finals a year later.
After 37 goals and 29 assists in 207 matches for the Yellow Submarine, his form attracted the attention of Italian giants AC Milan, who agreed a deal worth a reported €28m to take him to Serie A.
