Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has hit back at popular Nigerian social media personality Lege Miami, following his cussing spree on the team, Soccernet.ng reports.
After failing to top their World Cup qualifiers group two months ago, the Super Eagles were handed a lifeline with the playoff route.
They had to win just three games － two on the continent, and one in the intercontinental playoffs next March.
Nigerian won the first game against Gabon on Thursday. But they fell to a penalty loss to DR Congo on Sunday. It was one of the worst performances from a Super Eagles team in a long while. They were totally played out of the park.
The loss means that Nigeria will not play in back-to-back World Cups. This is a big let down, considering the quality of the players who play for the country.

Many Super Eagles fans have reacted badly to the disappointment. But while some have expressed themselves smartly and with decorum, others have taken theirs too far.
One of such is popular social media personality Lege Miami. In a video he shared on his Intagram page on Monday, he basically attacked the Super Eagles players. Hurling insults at some of them, and their families.
He also attacked Nwabali, referencing how he buried his parents earlier in the year.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was apparently angered by Lege Miami’s attack on the Super Eagles players.
The social media personality even brought Nwabali’s family into his rant, and that seemed to have struck a chord. Recall that the Super Eagles goalie lost his parents by the turn of the year, and that obviously would have affected him badly.
Nwabali did not take Lege Miami’s attack lightly, as he took to Instagram to warn him to desist from insulting his father.
“Remove my late dad’s name from your mouth if you’re doing your content,” Nwabali wrote.
“If you don’t respect people’s dad you should learn to respect the dead. I’m not your regular type of footballer.
“I go beat you mercilessly. You’re free to insult me but remove my late dad’s name from your mouth.”

Now that it has been confirmed that Nigeria will not be at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Stanley Nwabali and his Super Eagles teammates will turn their focus to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The competition is less than a month away, and the Super Eagles will be hoping to pacify Nigerian fans by winning the trophy in Morocco.
