Nigerian music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has broken down on social media over his silent battles.

On his Instagram page, Ubi revealed that he woke up overwhelmed with feelings of loss and sadness, as life had thrown some tough challenges his way. He said he often wonders why his kindness isn’t reciprocated, as he has sacrificed a lot for the people he cares about.

He noted how, when false accusations are thrown at him, people tell him to brush them off, but it only takes a toll on him, and now, he has reached his breaking point. Franklin added that he is taking steps to acknowledge my emotions, seek clarity, reflect on his values, surround himself with support, practice self-care, set boundaries and consider seeking help.

“This morning, I’m overwhelmed with feelings of loss and sadness. Life has thrown me some tough challenges, and this one hurts the most. I often wonder why my kindness isn’t reciprocated. As someone who values friendship above all, I’ve sacrificed a lot for the people I care about. But when false accusations come my way, and I’m told to brush them off, it takes a toll. I’ve reached my breaking point. Today, I’m taking steps to acknowledge my emotions, seek clarity, reflect on my values, surround myself with support, practice self-care, set boundaries, and consider seeking help”.

This month has been tough for Ubi, who lost his elder sister. He revealed that death visited him and took one of the most precious gifts life ever handed to him, his sister, who birthed the Ubi Franklin the public knows and opened his eyes to what life truly is. He described the deceased as one of the kindest souls he had ever known and expressed how blessed he was to call her his sister.

To worsen it, Ubi Franklin was accused of stealing a luxury watch at Davido’s white wedding in Miami.

Reacting to the allegations, Ubi described the report as false and misleading allegations. Explaining the event, he said he had been approached by a man named Benny, who offered to sell him a wristwatch. He added that Benny sent his brother to deliver another wristwatch during the church service, which Franklin purchased and paid for in full. Franklin described the situation as “an extremely difficult and sensitive time” for him and his family, adding that this would be his final comment.

Still taking to his Instagram story, Ubi claimed that he knows the person who fabricated the story and questioned why people love to hate. He stated that if anyone doesn’t like him, it’s cool, but they shouldn’t spread false information.

In May, during the 30bg trip to Abuja, rumours made rounds online that Ubi and Cubana Chief Priest were involved in a heated physical confrontation at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. Addressing it, Franklin said anyone who believes the story is a f**l.

In other news, the music executive had stirred the internet after he shaded Davido’s ex-lawyer, Prince Ajudua. He made reference to Prince’s father, who was accused of scamming people some years back.
