Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of music star Davido, has released a statement following accusations that she did not allow her daughter to celebrate with her father and family.
Kemi Filani reported last week that Davido had turned 33, and Chioma threw a surprise dinner for him, which was attended by his second daughter, Hailey.
Davido’s elder brother, Nicholas Adeleke, also got married in Atlanta over the weekend, and many of the Adeleke grandchildren, including Hailey, were there.
Noticably absent at both events was Imade, his first child, which left many dragging Sophia for denying her daughter access to her father and his family.
Setting the record straight, Sophia noted how social media has become an integral part of their lives, and unfortunately, it has also become a platform for spreading false narratives. The mother of one revealed that she has been the primary caregiver for the past five years and has handled all her expenses except school fees, which her paternal grandparents have kindly covered for the past three years. Yet, their daughter knows no lack and is growing in a healthy environment and is happy.
Sophia revealed that she waived all outstanding child support payments and relinquished future claims. This has left her responsible for her child’s financial needs, which is a welcome development for both parties.
