According to our reporter, Jessica Anthony, 24, confessed to Delta State Police that she enlisted armed robbers through her friend Ada to steal her boyfriend’s gold, planning to get the cash from the sale. Watch full report
The plot was uncovered after the boyfriend noticed suspicious activities and alerted authorities.
Police investigations revealed calls and messages linking the suspects to the attempted robbery in Asaba. Thankfully, the boyfriend was unharmed.
Jessica admitted, “I asked the bad guys to take his gold so they could sell it and give me the money.”
Both women remain in custody as police hunt for the robbers and prepare charges for conspiracy and attempted robbery. The police warned the public that involving criminals in personal disputes is a serious offense.
