Nigerian legendary singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2baba or 2face, has offered a deep apology to his wife Natasha, kids, and fans.
Kemi Filani reported that the music icon, in a recent episode on Nedu’s podcast, said that a man isn’t built to be sexually active with one woman. He stated that a man can love a woman, but it’s impossible for him to sexually be with only one woman.
Now, making a u-turn, 2baba admitted that he fucked up when he noted how his show would be cancelled because of his statement. However, he is apologising to his fans.
He also tendered an apology to his wife Natasha, whom he described as the love of his life and his kids. 2baba said he is deeply sorry, and that’s not who he is.
“I know I fvcked up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled cos of it. I apologise to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am”.
During an episode of the Young Famous and African reality show, 2baba justified why many men cheat on their wives. He said a man can love a woman and still cheat on her because of his sexual cravings. The singer added that at such a moment, he wouldn’t think about the woman he loves but about how to unload himself.
Reacting to his statement, Anita Joseph questioned if 2baba was indirectly telling Annie he wouldn’t stop cheating on her.
Defending him, Daddy Freeze stated that monogamy isn’t a woman’s entitlement, as it isn’t normal for African men to have one wife. He cited biblical examples of men who cheated on their spouses, as he added that feminism and political correctness are what are killing us in Africa as we try to normalise Western Values.
During his marriage to Annie Idibia, 2baba was embroiled in several cheating scandals.
In 2022, during their vow renewal on their 10th wedding anniversary, Annie had demanded an exceptional obligation from 2baba. Annie pleaded with her husband to stay faithful to her for the next ten years and wanted him to keep to it.
