“I learnt the hard way that there’s no such thing as a Free lunch” – DJ Cuppy testifies as she narrates experience with someone who pretended to be her helper

Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy has recounted an experience she had with a fake helper who wanted to get in contact with her father.

Taking to her Twitter page, she stated that she learnt the hard way that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. According to her, a few years back, she thought she had found a helper who offered her help and supported her. Unknowingly, the person was faking his love for her to get in touch with her billionaire father.

Cuppy said the helper later made it clear that he expected something in return, such as an investment or an introduction to her dad. She admitted that she felt stupīd for not seeing it earlier and learned the hard way.

“I learnt the hard way that there’s no such thing as a FREE lunch.

A few years ago, I really thought someone was being kind. They showed up for me, offered help, and made me feel supported. I thought it came from a good place… But later, they made it clear they expected something in return an investment or, hilariously, an introduction to my dad

I felt so stupīd for not seeing it earlier.

Learn from me… Not everything that looks like support comes from a good place!”

Cuppy, had expressed gratitude to God over her luxury lifestyle. She stated that growing up, she didn’t fully realize how privileged she was as she never had to worry about anything; now, she sees things differently. Cuppy added that what felt normal to her was something someone else was praying for.

Last year, Cuppy announced that she was no longer searching for new friends. The disc jockey shared photos of her mother, sisters, and boxer, Anthony Joshua, as she described them as her inner circles and made it known that she wasn’t looking for any more friends.

The billionaire heiress, in an Instagram message to her future partner, shared a photo of her in Leicester Square, UK. In her caption, she admonished any man coming into her life not to try to unspoil her because she is already spoilt.

When Nigeria turned 64 years in October, the disc jockey described Nigeria as her superpower, as she admitted that though Nigeria is going through tough times, it remains and will always be a peace of hope. She stated that being a Nigerian is the superpower of her brand as no matter where she goes, she will always carry a piece of Nigeria with her.
