Nigerian singer David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has opened up about how he almost left the music industry before the release of his track with Omah Lay, “With You.”

He explained that he never thought the song would become the most loved track from his album and admitted he was considering stepping away from music after over ten years of performing.
Davido, who has enjoyed a long career filled with global recognition, said the success of the song gave him a new drive and made him more grateful to his fans.
He said: “We thank God. 13 or 14 years after for me to have this kind of song, people have this kind of song at the beginning of their career or in the middle. Me that was even getting ready to bow out then God gives me this kind of song. He definitely added more life to it.”
