Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has celebrated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his birthday, offering heartfelt prayers and reflecting on their long-standing political partnership.
Kwankwaso shared the birthday message in a post on his official 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.
In ..., Kwankwaso praised Governor Yusuf for his dedication and contributions to the Kwankwasiyya movement and the development of Kano State over the years.
“On this day, I appreciate the birthday of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf,” he wrote.
Recalling their political history, Kwankwaso said the governor had served in multiple capacities under his leadership, from Personal Assistant to Commissioner, before emerging as the state’s chief executive.
“I reflect on the many years of our shared political journey, during which he served in various important capacities; first as my Personal Assistant in my first term and as Minister, and then as Principal Private Assistant, and later as Commissioner during my second tenure, and now as Governor,” Kwankwaso stated.
The former Defence Minister acknowledged Yusuf’s role in advancing the vision of their shared political ideology and programmes aimed at improving lives in Kano.
“Through these roles, he contributed to the vision and programmes we pursued for the development of Kano State,” he added.
Kwankwaso concluded the message with a prayer for divine guidance in the governor’s leadership journey.
“I pray that this new year grants him wisdom, good health, and clarity of purpose,” he said.
