Nigerian media personality and former OAP Toke Makinwa has spoken about her pregnancy fears.

While sharing photos from her photoshoot with Marie Claire magazine, Toke revealed that she had spent months afraid of what could go wrong and wanted to run away. She said she became weird and didn’t want to share her joy with the world, and then she remembered that the gift of the Lord makes so much riches without adding sorrow.

She stated that her praise is louder than any fear, and this time, it’s different, as she noted how God makes all things beautiful in his time.

“Perfect love drives out fear…

Oh, I spent a lot of months afraid, afraid of what could go wrong. I wanted to run away. I became weird and just didn’t want to share this joy with the world. Then I remembered that the gift of the Lord makes so much rich; it adds no sorrow.
My big,
We are light, we are a city set on a hill, there is no hiding place for a goldfish.

So my praise is louder than any fear. It’s different this time. He makes all things beautiful in his time.

2026 mamas to be and mamas, congratulations. I hear we begin a new generation, Gen Beta

A few days back, Toke, who is still basking in the euphoria of being a soon-to-be mum, shared some of the old messages she received from trolls who mocked her for not having a husband or child. She expressed gratitude to her Maker for having the final say and steadily shaming the devices of the wicked.

Kemi Filani reported on August 13th that Toke, via her Instagram page, announced that she is expecting her first child with a video of her baby bump.

On her latest podcast, the former OAP broke down in tears as she reflected on her trials, revealing that she prayed to God that she wanted to turn 40 being a mum. She said that God answered her prayers as she got pregnant the next month after her 40th birthday.

In a previous episode.oknher podcast, Toke spoke about being single and childless at 40. She admitted that if she had gotten married for a second time, she would have divorced as she noted how the lessons never ended. The media personality said that she doesn’t allow herself to wallow in pity.

Last year, the media personality had replied to a troll who mocked her for being unmarried. The troll identified had stated that the media personality had passed the single era and was now in her unmarried era. Toke reacted, declaring that God would do hers for her and that her troll would be alive to congratulate her.
