British-Nigerian rapper Oluwafisayo Isa, popularly known as Darkoo, has shared that she wants to have children but does not plan to experience pregnancy herself.

Naijaonpoint reports that the Gangsta crooner made this known during an interview with Madam Joyce.

The 23-year-old singer said she is ready to become a mother but prefers that her partner carries the child.

According to her, motherhood is not just about giving birth but about raising and loving a child.

“I’m at a stage in life where I’m thinking seriously about having children. I believe I’d be a great mother, but I just don’t want to carry a baby,” she said.

“My partner will be the one to do that.”

In a past interview, Darkoo also opened up about her sexuality and how coming out to her parents brought her peace of mind.

She explained that having that conversation with her mother gave her emotional relief.

Meanwhile Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has apologised for distancing himself from the Afrobeats genre.

The singer explained that his past comments were due to confusion about the purpose of the label.

Naijaonpoint recalls that in 2022, Burna Boy had stated that his style was Afrofusion, not Afrobeats, which caused a lot of debate among fans and industry followers.

He insisted back then that his music should not be forced into a single category, as it draws from different styles with African roots.

But in a recent interview on a UK Afrobeats show, Burna Boy shared that he now understands the role Afrobeats plays in helping African music grow internationally.

He admitted that he once failed to see the need for a unifying tag that could place African music alongside other popular global genres like R&B and Hip-Hop.
