For days now, people have been posting photos from 2016 that best capture what their lives were like a decade ago. The “2026 is the new 2016” trend features nostalgic items that have taken over people’s social media feeds, with throwback photos taking centre stage. From celebrities to friends, social media users have been describing 2026 as the new 2016 with their posts.
Taking to her Instagram page, Queen shared photos from her beauty queen regime, noting how she has been hustling back-to-back with no rest.
The mother of one said she always wanted this life – riches and fame, and now she is famous. Queen said now she is learning how to maintain it and build generational wealth.
The reality star revealed that her proudest highlights were when Global Com called her to be one of their judges at their event in Awka.

To start the New Year, Queen Mercy had gotten herself her first tattoos. She noted how she used to see people with tattoos as bad children; now she is joining their club.
Last year, Queen had spoken about her first time meeting with Funke Akindele. The reality star revealed that she didn’t let the box office queen go until she had pitched her brand. She expressed how honoured she was to meet Funke, whom she described as a talented, rare gem and a true legend.
Following her crashed marriage, Queen had addressed a misconception about her. She noted that she was called several names since after BBN, and people claimed she was posting her husband to pepper her baby daddy. Queen asked if anyone had seen her post about her baby daddy, noting that she was an excited bride when she posted about her husband.
The reality star had written a note to Instagram, pointing out the irony that trolls can drop negativity on someone’s page, yet one risks being banned if they respond. She noted how people are quick to judge others, yet do worse.
The reality star tied the knot in March to David Oyekanmi. Queen held her wedding introduction in her hometown in Akwa Ibom, which had in attendance some of her colleagues.
Late, last year, the reality star had confirmed her crashed marriage to the public while responding to a fan. She made it known that she is single and unavailable.
