Nollywood actor Lekan Olatunji has opened up on his 2022 fatal accident which almost claimed his life.
In a recent interview, the Yoruba actor recalled how he survived a father accident, which left him in the hospital for three months with a memory loss. While expressing gratitude to his Maker for surviving death, he advocated for people to give doctors their credits as he noted how a doctor’ friend of was shocked that he survived.
He said his doctor friend wouldn’t have believed him, if he didn’t see his skull. The Yoruba actor said he went through series of surgeries which wasn’t easy.
“There’s was a time I had an accident and it’s wasn’t easy, because I was in the hospital for three months with a memory loss, so I thank God for his grace. Here I am doing well, we should give the doctors their own praise and God his glory, even my doctors friend were shocked and said they wouldn’t believe me if they hadn’t seen me because they saw my skull because I went through series of surgeries but I thank God because it wasn’t easy”.
Recall that in 2022, Lekan was involved in an accident that almost claimed his life. The actor had shared a video of him on the hospital bed with bandages on his head and arms, and a source confirmed that the actor had survived a ghastly accident.
A year after the accident, the Yoruba actor lost his beloved wife and mother of his three kids. Lekan noted how God was unquestionable, as he revealed that his wife died after spending millions of Naira on her health for surgery.
In September last year, the actor visited her grave. Sharing photos from the visit, he penned a touching note to his late wife, noting how the pain of her absence still lingers on as a day doesn’t go by without the thought of her. He described his late wife as not only his spouse, but his strength, anchor, companion, and a beacon of light.
In an interview with Biola Bayo, had opened up on her death, recounting how he sold two of his cars to save her life, but his efforts were futile.
