Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her co-parenting battle with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, following their reconciliation.

Kemi Filani reported on Saturday that Dikeh shocked many when she extended an olive branch to her ex-husband, Churchill. She revealed that after ten years of public battles, deep wounds, broken communication, bitterness, and pain, God stepped in. Dikeh expressed gratitude to Churchill for yielding to God’s word and choosing peace, and prayed that their restored relationship remain built on the solid rock of God’s mercy.

While giving a testimony at Pastor Jerry Eze’s church, she said she went through ten years of war, loneliness and shame, and her son not knowing his father, but God restored it in just one day.

The movie star likened her situation to a tornado, but God answered her son’s prayer request during the 21-day fast with Pastor Jerry.

Breaking his silence, Churchill said he was pleasantly surprised when he received a call from his son, King Andre, for the first time. Churchill said hearing him call “Daddy” was deeply touching and a reminder that what God can’t do doesn’t exist. The businessman expressed gratitude to Tonto, calling her the amazing mother of his son for doing a good job.

Refreshing your memory, Tonto got married to Churchill in 2015, but like most marriages, it ended after two years.

Tonto cited domestic violence and irreconcilable differences, which, Churchill publicly denied.

Recall that in 2020, Churchill had sought redress at the High Court in Abuja against Tonto, seeking no less than N500 million in damages over her infamous May 2019 interview. In the video, the actress made some provocative and indicting claims against him, alleging that Churchill was into cyber fraud popularly.

A year later, he issued her a cease-and-desist letter for defaming his character and that of his wife. The letter noted how Tonto had published falsehoods against Churchill and his wife, claimed that she had sponsored their wedding, labelled Rosy a husband snatcher, and accused him of being a deadbeat father.

Tonto responded to the accusations by alleging that the accuser was mentally unstable and that the lawsuit had no basis.
