“I will carry you on my head because of the love you show me” – Segun Ogungbe’s first wife, Atinuke, tells him as she celebrates his birthday with love declaration

Atinuke Ogungbe, the first wife of Nollywood actor Segun Ogungbe, has reaffirmed her love as he celebrates his birthday today, March 28th.

Taking to her Instagram page, Atinuke shared an old video of her and the actor at a birthday party with a Muslim background song playing, which reads, “E reach that I carry my husband on my head, because of the love he shows me. So let the world know that his type of love is hard”.

In her caption, Atinuke described Segun as the love of her life as she made him know that she cherishes their moments together and expressed excitement for their future.

“Happy Birthday to the love of my life! On your special day, I pray for God’s continued blessings, good health, and happiness. I cherish our moments together and look forward to years of love and laughter. I love you”.

Despite being married to Atinuke, Segun married his colleague, Wumi Ajiboye, unfortunately, the marriage crashed like many celebrity marriages.

Kemi Filani reported in 2023, that Omowunmi and Segun had parted ways over an alleged report that Segun couldn’t fund Wunmi’s lifestyle, hence why she resulted in having extramarital affairs and returned to the streets. Their separation became obvious when Omowunmi buried her mother in grand style, and Segun, had no say in the burial and was mostly babysitting their sons

Omowunmi later confirmed the news as she spilled some dirty secrets about her estranged husband, claiming he molested the girls working with her, aborted their pregnancies, and had extramarital affairs in her house, amongst others. She accused him of not respecting her while in the relationship and setting her up for trolls without defending her.

To, make it worse, Ajiboye had penned a lukewarm appreciation message to Segun following the success of the burial. Kemi Filani later learned that MC Oluomo was the reason behind their split.

After his crashed marriage, Segun shifted his attention back to his first wife. While celebrating her birthday in April 2024, he described her as the woman who brought him the most joy and called her the best wife he could ever have. He recalled their ups and downs and how they grew in love.

Atinuke, in what seemed like a reaction to his separation from Wumi, had expressed gratitude to her Maker as she told her fans that God is still good to her.
