Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has made a promise to her late mother, Gloria Sunday on her 3rd remembrance.

Kemi Filani reported on Monday that the movie star had marked her mother’s 3rd remembrance by giving out foodstuff to the less privileged. Penning an emotional note to her late mother, she revealed that 3 years without her is really hard as she vowed that just like how she never let her late mother suffer or stress while she was on earth, she would constantly remember her for the rest of her life.

In a follow-up post, she promised to make her mother proud as she appreciated her for all the teachings and for making her the strong woman she is today. Expressing her love for her, she wrote,

“Dear mother, I will continue to make you proud. Thank you for all your teachings, thank you for making me the strong woman that I am today, love you forever till we meet to part no more. Gloria lives on”.

Recall that Nkechi Blessing’s mother died barely five days before her birthday in September, 2021. Announcing her mother’s death, Nkechi recounted how she had been working day and night to ensure her mother did not beg for food. She said if doctors had requested money to keep her mother, she would have begged the world to help her.

In September 2022, Nkechi marked her mother’s first remembrance. The actress went to the streets and gave out food and water. Just days after the remembrance, Nkechi celebrated her mother’s posthumous birthday in a controversial style. She held a little party to host a few friends, where she shared a dildo as a souvenir.

In December, she recounted her tearful visit to her mother’s graveside in Ibadan. Nkechi revealed she told her about her new man, Xxssive, her son’s brilliant performances in school, her latest achievements and lots more. She added that she could feel her mother’s voice telling her to be strong and courageous.
