“I wouldn’t be acting my age” – Actress Sikiratu Sindodo makes special announcement as she marks 49th birthday in grand style

Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, better known as Sikiratu Sindodo, is celebrating her 49th birthday today, February 21st, 2025.

Taking to her Instagram page, the light-skinned Yoruba actress shared photos of herself with her birthday gifts as she revealed that she wouldn’t be acting her age, despite getting older.

In another post, Tayo Sindodo shared a video of herself on top of a car as she expressed gratitude to her Maker.

Femi Adebayo took to his Instagram page to share photos of the celebrant, who he described as ever radiant and talented. He celebrated the grace, incredible talent, and warmth she brings to every performance and rained prayers on her.

For her 47th birthday in 2023, Tayo expressed gratitude to her creator for keeping her alive. She said her birthday was an occasion worth celebrating as she was happy to be alive and believed she would be alive to witness her next birthday.

In 2022, she revealed some of her traits as she shared photos of herself dazzling in traditional outfits, iro and Bubu, to mark her 46th birthday. She revealed she’s a true and great lover, secretly wild and cr@zy as well as sweetest if treated well.

To mark her birthday, her friends and colleagues surprised her. A video shared by Goldmyne TV captured the moment Sikiratu was left in awe after her friends took her to the birthday party venue. Tayo almost ran out of the event but was held back by her friends as she shed tears over the show of love.

In other news, filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele recalled how Iyabo Ojo and Sikiratu Sindodo had impacted her humble beginnings. She spoke about how Sikiratu borrowed her clothes for her to look classy and presentable on sets and how she returned devastated. She noted how Iyabo stood up for her until many in the industry noticed her.

A year back, in an interview, with Toke Makinwa, Funke had also recounted how Iyabo and Sikiratu Sindodo helped her up the ladder and fought for her during her early career days. According to her, she was being stereotyped because of her physical appearance which many considered ‘ugly’. This led to her breaking down on one of her movie sets and Iyabo and Sikiratu stood up for her.
